Privacy notice

You give us some of the most personal information there is. Here is exactly what happens to it, in plain English.

What we collect and why

The names, dates of birth, addresses and contact details of the people named in the LPA, because the official forms require them. For a health and welfare LPA, your answer about life-sustaining treatment, because the form requires it. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.

What we never do

We don't sell or share your information for marketing. We don't put personal details into web addresses, analytics events or system logs. We email you about your own order and nothing else, unless you explicitly ask us to tell you about something.

Health information

The life-sustaining treatment answer is special category data under UK GDPR. We process it only because it is required to complete the LP1H form you asked us to prepare, we store it encrypted, and access is limited to the people preparing your documents.

How long we keep things

Your case record is kept while your LPA is in progress and for as long as we may need to honour the guarantee. You can ask us to delete your data at any time after your documents are finished, and we will, keeping only what the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted by writing to help@example.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
